HEMOCODE™ uses patented technology as part of service aimed at nutritional and dietary wellness through identifying and managing food sensitivities. HEMOCODE™ is overseen by licensed and regulated health care professionals. Client-specific reports of which foods to eliminate, where they may be found, how to replace them and when to reintroduce offending foods are generated together with individualized recipe books and vitamin and supplement recommendations corresponding to foods eliminated.
Once your body has healed and your level of inflammation has been reduced, you may once again drink. Please do so responsibly and take into consideration the other damaging effects of alcohol may have on your system.
Yeast is used in the fermentation process that begins the production of an alcoholic drink. Even filtered finished products still contain yeast proteins and should therefore be avoided. Alcohols contain yeast in different concentrations. Before consuming any alcohol beverages you should inquire as to their yeast content. If you have a sensitivity to Brewer's yeast you should avoid those beverages containing yeast.
The grains wheat, rye, barley, oat, spelt, and products made from these grains including bread, flour, cookies, pastries, pies, foods coated with breadcrumbs, pizza, pasta, malt and beer.
Either baking powder (preferably cream of tartar) or, even better, baking ferment.
No, you may still be able to eat bread products if they do not use baker's yeast as a leavening agent. It is best to check the ingredients of the product and/or ask the bakery staff if they can provide you with the information you need. Not all bread uses baker's yeast as a leavening agent.
Yes, you can eat sauerkraut. The composition of the lactic acid in sauerkraut is not the same as the lactic acid found in milk.
Most milk alternatives are enriched with calcium. As well, if you follow the rotation guidelines and regularly include legumes in your diet, a calcium deficiency is unlikely. In case of an increased need for calcium, consider taking a calcium supplement, or check with your health care provider.
All milk products are not equal. The intolerance is primarily caused by cow`s milk proteins. Yogurt and cheese are produced via fermentation or souring. These processes change the milk protein so that antigen structures can be destroyed or new ones can appear.
There are several alternatives to cow`s milk such as: Goat’s milk and cheese, oat milk (avoid in the case of a gluten intolerance), stone pines milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk are alternatives.
During the processing of milk, the proteins are modified or are lessened in the end products such as butter. This is why you may not react to all milk products, or all milk products in the same way.
No, because citric acid is produced chemically, and as a result it has a different composition.
Yes, but you shouldn't eat the same mixture everyday. Rotate the vegetable group according to the program.
Absolutely! It simply depends on the type of sweet you would like to eat and how you can work it into your rotation diet. It's best to avoid commercially produced products like chocolate bars and cakes with multiple ingredients. Try to choose simple sweets made of the food items on your approved list. For example, if the ingredients of peanut butter cookies are on your acceptable food list, you can work peanut butter cookies into your rotation diet on the appropriate day. On the day that you have apple scheduled, you could have baked apples or applesauce.
It is best that you avoid foods not included in the HEMOCODE™ system for at least 2 weeks. Since there is no certainty as to whether you tolerate untested foods, it is best to introduce untested foods gradually and individually over time, self-monitoring for any troubling symptoms.
Food intolerance is a highly individual matter. What is healthy for one person could be damaging for another. Nonetheless, experience with HEMOCODETM has shown that milk, milk products and grains cause immune reactions in many people. Gluten, egg protein, milk products and beer/baking yeast are very strong antigens that should be strictly avoided in the case of intolerance. This is not always easy since these ingredients are present in many processed products.
Individual reactions to gluten span a spectrum from non-reactive to severely reactive. Celiac Disease is the most severe form of gluten intolerance. Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder that damages the lining of the small intestine and compromises the absorption of nutrients. Celiac Disease is a permanent intolerance to gluten. Gluten sensitivity, however, is more mild physiologically but can manifest in similar lifestyle effecting concerns. As gluten sensitivity and celiac differ in their mechanism, different methods are used to assess them. The HEMOCODE™ Food Intolerance System does not diagnose celiac disease. If you have been diagnosed with celiac disease you should NEVER eat foods containing gluten. If you have specific questions please speak to your health care provider.
Intolerances can be due to both digestive and immune related reactions. Classic lactose intolerance is a digestive intolerance and intolerant individuals lack the enzyme to digest lactose. The HEMOCODE™ Food Intolerance System scans for immune intolerances. If you suspect or know you are intolerant to lactose, please consult your health care practitioner and follow their instructions
It is collected using a simple finger stick. We need only 5-6 drops of blood.
Depending on the nature of the sensitivity, the changes may not be permanent. Where sensitivity is moderate (Yellow list), the food must be eliminated for 10 - 12 weeks before re-introduction into the diet. Where sensitivity is severe (Red list), the food must be eliminated for six months to one year, and then re-introduced into the diet.
The connection between intolerances and addiction is well known. When you suddenly have cravings for an incompatible food, hold on! Cravings usually let up after 3 to 5 days.

Your results will be ready 7-10 business days from the day we receive your blood sample. Your results package will be sent to the health care professional where you provided the blood sample and a time will be set up for you to pick up the results and review them.
Food intolerances may occur due to a genetic predisposition.  You may also consume these foods unknowingly. As an example, let’s say you react to soy. Even though you are certain you have never eaten soy, you may have consumed it unknowingly. This is because soy and its extracts are added to a variety of processed foods. Poppy seeds are another example.   They are often used in various medications.
It is not necessary, but it may be recommended. Using HEMOCODETM at a later date may be recommended if your concerns reappear after strictly following your new diet. Should this be the case, you are also encouraged to seek the advice of your medical professional.
No, you don`t have to visit your doctor to obtain a blood specimen. Your specimen is collected either by yourself, or with the support of a licensed professional using a simple lancet. Only about 5-6 drops of blood are required.
No. The HEMOCODETM program does not require you to cut calorie consumption thus your nutritional needs are never threatened. Results may vary but is has been observed that some patients have lost up to 8lbs per week.

A recent study entitled , "Eliminating Immunologically-Reactive Foods from the Diet and its Effect on Body Composition and Quality of Life in Overweight Persons," led by John E. Lewis, Ph.D., at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine emphasizes this point. The study assessed the effect of a food sensitivity test and elimination diet on weight, body mass index, and quality of life in people who wanted to lose weight and/or were overweight. Study participants lost an average of close to 1 pound per week, and lost nearly 3 inches from the waist.
No, you should never eat foods that you are allergic to or think you may be allergic to. HEMOCODE™ does NOT scan for food allergies.
HEMOCODE™ is not a blood test per se. It is a comprehensive dietary and nutritional treatment program which incorporates a blood review . Not all programs are created equal. HEMOCODE™ has been designed in the belief that to be as effective as possible, food intolerance management programs should include the following elements, all of which are part of the HEMOCODE™ System:
  • The factoring of a person`s medical history
  • Results reports that are reviewed by licensed Doctors of Naturopathic Medicine, Chiropractors, Pharmacists, Medical Doctors or other trained, licensed and regulated health care professionals

  • Explicit explanations about allergies, and conditions such as celiac disease and lactose intolerance that are not covered by our evaluation but can impact dietary health and wellness
No, HEMOCODE™ is a comprehensive program, supervised by regulated healthcare professionals.  It includes a preliminary face-to-face consultation, and a careful, follow-up review of personalized results with a HEMOCODETM certified health care professional.  It is NOT a "Do It Yourself" kit that is sold off the shelf, online, or over the phone. In-person consultations help ensure that the results are clearly understood, providing an opportunity to ask questions, and reducing the risk of eliminating components essential to diet.
The HEMOCODE™ System builds on the principles associated with a managed elimination diet, but goes one step further by also recommending food substitutions.  HEMOCODE™ also responsibly and specifically includes recommendations for vitamins and supplements to maintain the nutritional balance required as part of the program. HEMOCODE™ does not sell or manufacture the vitamins and supplements that are recommended.

No. HEMOCODE™ is a food intolerance management system. It is NOT intended, suggested or recommended to replace or supersede the need for established food allergy testing, especially for people with suspected immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated food allergies, who may be at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis.
